Increase awareness

In Canada, June is Brain Injury Awareness Month (BIAM). Each year national, provincial, and local associations run campaigns to increase awareness about the prevalence of brain injury; the obstacles that exist for those with brain injury; and the need for more services and support at all stages of recovery.

Thank you to the following York Region cities and towns for declaring June as Brain Injury Awareness Month. By making these proclamations, these York Region area municipalities are committing to raise awareness about the prevalence of brain injury in our local communities!

TESTIMONIALS

“I have ALWAYS seen the world in 0s & 1s, i.e. black and white. I went to all 4 of the Mindfulness sessions held by the BIAYR highly skeptical. The 4 sessions have changed the way I view and see the world. No longer 0s & 1s, black and white; these Mindfulness sessions have added shades of colour to the way I view the world. A completely new and uplifting way to approach the world..”
