TABIRS benefits from CHIRS’ over 40 years of expertise and a stellar reputation. As a specialized service provider, TABIRS collaborates closely with CHIRS to deliver comprehensive care. With a commitment to excellence, it has maintained Exemplary Standing through Accreditation Canada since 1997 and has been recognized with a Special Recognition Award for Outstanding Support to Advance the Cause of Brain Injury in Canada by the Brain Injury Association of Canada.
Toronto ABI Rehab Specialists Limited (TABIRS), established in 2005, provides a broad range of life-changing services to the ABI community, on a fee-for-service option. It has been making a significant impact on people’s lives by improving quality of life and providing safety, comfort, and purpose, offering families the reassurance they need during tough times.

TABIRS benefits from the expertise and of four rehabilitation neuropsychologists who specialize community-based support services for people living with the effects of moderate to severe injuries. The complex nature of brain functioning disability resulting from brain injury is easily misunderstood. Our expertise in community-based care and the clinical management of complex co-occurring conditions, including addictions and serious mental health disorders, means that our neuropsychological assessments provide an evidence-based analysis of pre-existing factors and include specific recommendations for care.
